The purpose of this online, self-paced series is to assist educators in getting more comfortable with editing their own videos. Editing has become a necessity for remote teachers and blended learning educators. We suggest two editing platforms for video creation: Kaltura and Adobe Premiere Pro. Both platforms are capable of several different tools to help enhance your video production for your classroom.

Kaltura

Many educators may be more familiar with the Kaltura media management platform for storing, publishing, and streaming videos and other multimedia. Kaltura is an all-in-one tool that allows you to record, edit, publish, and share media content. Unlike Google Drive or YouTube, Kaltura offers a suite of advanced features, such as creating in-video quizzinginteractive video paths, and creating playlists. Instructors can use the links to the right for training resources through Information Services.

Adobe Premiere Pro

Our office has created a series that covers the basics of editing in the Adobe Premiere Pro program and shares a wide variety of tips and suggestions to help you create and edit your own videos. Knowing how to edit and create your own videos can not only allow you a quicker prep time but create a more professional and engaged classroom. Instructors can use the link on the right to begin downloading the program and access the video series.
